This is only a small-scale example, but give me a break, Yahoo. How about one line: “Thanks, we’ll pass it on to quality control.”? Security policies help prevent some threats at the cost of slowing down processes and adding additional, potentially annoying, layers. It’s worth it when it’s necessary. So often lately, and this isn’t just online, it’s security for security’s sake, designed and written into policies by idiots, and subsequently injected into every process everywhere every fucking minute. For normal things, let’s be normal.

FYI, customers can use a search tool at the top of their email inbox to search their mail. In the set of search results, the "date" field is too narrow and cuts off the last two digits of the date. Customers are unable to view what year the mail came from. It appears unintentional, that the date field was just too few characters. Emailing because it's an easy fix in the code and customers will be happier. Note that the problem only appears when using the search tool; there's no problem in the normal "inbox".
Best,

Cracky-
I hate when people follow dumb policies just because it’s the policy. The worst is when you inquire about a dumb rule and they point at a sign on the wall.
Oh I see, it’s the policy, that’s why it’s the policy.
Ah makes sense.
This also happens when you have to deal with the automated messaging systems on the telephone. Thank you automated messaging, you have succeeded in making me so confused that I forgot what I have written about, or I have just given up because I don’t care enough to follow all your stupid procedures. THANKS.
Odd. The last time I mailed Yahoo support, there were “unusually high volumes of E-Mail” as well. Seems they need to hire.
